Solve erosion and drainage issues caused by the sump pump. Additionally, replace the existing landscape at the entrance of the home which contained several commonly used landscape plants that are invasive to Maryland.

We designed a rain garden for the backyard that would catch and treat the water of the sump pump and a downspout that collected water off a quarter of the client’s roof. We designed this BMP to not only function for filtering stormwater but also to be a stunning landscape feature for their backyard. We replaced the invasive landscaping out front with all natives and designed it to be low maintenance and have year-round seasonal interest.
